    No. Studentrooms is completely free to use for students. There are no (hidden) costs, so use our website to find a student room you like and contact the landlord to schedule an appointment.

  • Do I have to pay a brokerage fee?

    No. Charging renters a brokerage fee is illegal and you shouldn’t comply to that. Please let us know if your contact person is charging you a brokerage fee.

  • I think my landlord is overcharging me, what can I do?

    If you believe your landlord is overcharging you, please check this website and fill in the information to calculate your maximum rent. This website tells you how much a landlord can legally charge you. If it turns out you’re overpaying you should contact your landlord and ask him to lower your rent accordingly. If your landlord doesn’t want to lower your rent, you can visit het Juridisch Loket to ask them what actions you can take. You can find a list of their offices here.

    No, we’re a platform where you can advertise your property on. The contact between renter and landlord is something we don’t interfere with.
